    Day 11 Tell the Truth

From A Daily Book of Miracles by Krista M. Moore

    Daily Miracle Message

Coming into your light is about being who you are as a part of God’s family. In order to do that we must tell the truth. It can be hard to speak the truth sometimes. We are afraid of hurting people’s feelings, of rubbing people the wrong way. But when we tell the truth with kindness, from our hearts, we cannot truly hurt anyone. We are coming from a clean feeling, and it is freeing.

    Daily Miracle Practice

Begin with yourself. Go into a quiet place and get closer to God, to that quiet still place where you know who you are. It is not easy to hear yourself when other people are speaking!

Take a deep breath and release any tension down through the bottoms of your feet. Get connected to the ground. Then breathe again, and again, deeper each time. Until you begin to feel a a little lighter, a release and a calm… Breathe deeply and feel into your vibration, into your heart. What are you feeling right now?

Be honest with yourself first. You can begin by asking yourself good questions: Am I being who I want to be right now? Am I being honest with myself, or am I doing or saying what others want to hear?

Give yourself some space. Stay in your own energy long enough to get comfortable being who you are. Then you can learn to express that gift to others in a way that does not cut them off, but clears the way. By being honest with yourself first, you will feel more clear and grounded. Then you can decide what you most want to express. Before you decide to express it, you may want to ask yourself, What is important for me to say right now? Is this the deeper truth, or just a temporary feeling, an emotion that is surfacing that needs my attention and healing?

Another thing to ask is, do I really need to express it to this person right now? Or can I deal with it on my own, or with a friend? Perhaps you have a kind listener who can hear your feelings and hold space?

There are many ways to express, and many ways to listen. Find yours. You could take a walk in nature communing with God and the angels, or listen to classical or uplifting music, or draw or paint, or write it all down. Maybe writing a poem is how you find the truth and come to express who you are. Be creative. It doesn’t have to be a big drama! Unless you want it to be. Then make it great. Make it your own. Do it with grace. Do it with style.

    Daily Miracle Prayer

Dear God, help me to express my self truly. Is this true for me or is this someone else’s energy? Help me to discern what I feel right now. Clear my heart and mind and help me express my truth with clarity, wisdom and Love.

    Daily Miracle Blessing

I am here for you. You can speak to me anytime. You do not have to wait untiil you have it all figured out. Come to me first. I will clear the way. I will you speak the truth with love.

    Day 10 Starting All Over

A Daily Book of Miracles, by Krista M. Moore

    Daily Miracle Message

Starting all over isn’t easy. No matter what has happened to change your world, know that you will find your way forward.

In my own life, I saw change in many forms, and had to start all over. As a child, we moved a lot. I went from school to school. Growing up in a smaller town, it wasn’t easy to make friends when you are the new kid. Kids pick on you. When you’re an adult and have to change jobs, or go through a divorce, or go back to school later in life, it may feel like you’re starting all over again. In some ways this is good, and in other ways, it can feel overwhelming. Especially if your change involves a death. It can seem like the end of the world for a very long time…

One thing I do see now, God has gotten me through everything in my life. I learned so much from each transition. Starting all over in my late 20’s in a brand new city as a single mother, I grew muscles I didn’t know I had; I gained skills of compassion and depth and insight that came with experience and the ability to respond to new environments and demands.

After the devastation of 9/11 and losing two loved ones within a week of each other, I was able to rebuild my world, and turn inward; decide what kind of world I wanted to create. I eventually got out of the corporate job I held for 10 years, and expanded my family, to live my creative dreams while raising my own kids. And I got to travel the world and live on my own terms. From cocoon to butterfly, mother’s womb to whole new world, I developed the ability to embrace the new and love life again.

I did this through lot of prayer, reflection, tears, fears, letting go, and finally making choices that felt like the right thing to do. And eventually, those changes, sometimes big, sometimes small, led to the most amazing and fruitful life, a life I could not see until those changes happened to me.

Starting all over was a gift. I didn’t always ask for it, but God gave me the strength to go forward, and showed me new possibilities. And now I am so grateful I took the leaps into the dark, and found the Light I was truly needing, shining my way into the most beautiful life.

    Daily Miracle Prayer

Dear God, please carry me through this change and help me to start all over again. I don’t know how. I feel overwhelmed, scared even. I can’t see what the future holds, but I know you are with me. Amen.

    Daily Miracle Blessing

I am with you in this passage. What you cannot see, I see. What you do not know or understand, I do. Take a walk with me. I will show you the way forward in my Light.

Day 9 When Love Comes in Other Form

From A Daily Book of Miracles, work in progress, by Krista M. Moore 2019; Photo Credit: Love & Compassion, by Krista M. Moore, Peru, 2018.

    Daily Miracles Message

When we love, we want to love with all our heart. With all our soul. With all our mind. But the world can do just the opposite to us: we soon discover love is not a four letter word, it is a force that moves us upside down. It can take everything we thought was valuable and make it meaningless. It can pull the wool over our eyes and make us love what is not even there. Love can make us victims, and can cause us to betray our selves.

This kind of love is the love we feel in the world. It is not the kind of love that saves us, it is the kind that empties us, shatters us, and leaves us with wounds to heal. We have all suffered love and the loss of it – our hearts like holes, empty, our minds wandering desperate to find it, our heads defending us against it.

But what is love? What is this love that sounds more like an enemy than something to lean on? How can we trust it if it leaves us, deceives us, or is not love at all?

That is the question: What happens when love comes in other form?

This world is full of deceptions and illusions. It takes a lot of skill and discernment to see through it, to learn the difference between God’s Love and what the rest of us feel most of the time.

Relationships on this earth are often misunderstood. They are roles we play, and none of us play the same way. Each one is different. Some are variable and go up and down, separate and come together again. Nothing stays the same.

But God’s Love is real. It does not change. It is simple. It does not go away. It can be counted on. Its form may vary, but its message is the same.

If you do not feel that the love you are sending or receiving brings you greater peace, insight, clarity, joy even, then you must question this love. The source of this love may be the mind and the body, not the soul, not the Spirit.

It is hard to hear this message while we are in the body. We want human love to be true. We want love no matter what the cost. But real love shatters our illusions, it reveals them to us, it blesses us while even causing pain. It does not destroy our hope, it offers it to us, asking us to give up our suffering, our fears, our illusions.

If we choose God’s Love, human love takes a different shape. We may have to compromise, but we never lose the true Love underneath.

To give God our Love means to give God our life; it is to let Him take all our relationships and make them good, or to remove the ones that are not for our Highest Good.

To let go of love and receive God’s Love is a holy cross we have to bear if we are to know true happiness. To give up the world’s version of love is the most painful process, but once we realize that God’s Love comes first without condition, and moves through us, we can relax and know that we are safe. We do not have to choose one form or another. We can remember to love unconditionally as we have been loved.

God’s Love is more than enough. It means I can accept whatever is happening, even if I cannot have what I think I want in this moment. I will still face difficulties, challenges. I will still suffer the consequences of being human. I will sometimes lose, as physical love is always temporary.

At the same time, I know that God’s Love is Higher, it is softer and brighter. It will carry me forward. It will illuminate all suffering and save me from disaster. It will be there when I die, and when I awake in God’s presence.

Whatever form this Love takes in the world to teach me, I accept this Love with all of my heart, soul and imagination. I mourn the death of human love that does not last. I ask only for God’s Love, and to heal my fear of loving imperfectly while I am here.

When love comes in one form or another, I wait. I breathe. I pray. I ask God to help me discern and navigate. I say,

“God, make me a channel of your Love. Make me see. Let me not be helpless, but full of the Love you have for me. Let me be that Love for others, the Love that we all seek.”

    Daily Miracle Prayer

Offer us Love, Father, when we have lost our way. This world is filled with illusion and suffering. Even love can cause this, especially love or lack of it. I pray for your peace. To shield me from love of lessor form. Show me your Love, complete and unconditional. Make me a vessel of this Love for the world. Amen.

    Daily Miracle Blessing

Be at peace and know that I Am Love.

    Day 6 Unravelling Chaos

    Daily Miracle Message

The natural order of life is to let life (or nature) take over.  Like the front garden of our house, if left to its own devices, will become a weed wonderland, and Alice will get very, very lost.  If we don’t get hold of it, it the weeds will take hold, and we will be struggling with the chaos instead of smelling the roses.

My goal, my hope, my commitment, is to unravel chaos, one day at a time. By structuring time, by seeing it as tiny moments to be used and treasured, with clarity and conscious effort, instead of idly drifting by…

There is a time for rest and acceptance, allowing even; and there is a time for action, pruning, purpose. Conviction!

The more consciously aware we become, the greater the reward to our peace of mind.  We can create our days from a place of intention, force back the “normalcy” of distraction and addiction, and take back our lives.

What would it be like to arise each day filled with a singleness of purpose, with passion, with dedication, with devotion?

    Let’s try it!

Clarity brings action, and action removes distraction; the less time we waste, the more time we have; the more time we use well, the greater our lives become, like a giant rose garden filled with luscious spell-binding roses, that have been lovingly cared for, and that bloom again and again over time.

From sorting socks, to sorting clocks, we need to empty our minds of distractions and temptations, and find time for our true cause.

What makes you awake and jump to create? What do you live for that won’t go away? What is more important than your next snack, text message or social media “like”?

For me, I would build that beautiful rose garden, whatever it takes: one day, one project, one moment at a time!

    Daily Miracle Practice

    • Take a break. From distraction.
    • Sort the chaos. Build from action.
    • Give yourself time to be the person you were born to be.
    • Start today!

    Daily Miracle Prayer

Dear God, help me to create order in my life, and remove distraction and temptation from my midst. Help me to see my purpose with clarity and devotion; and to practice what I need to do, and what not to do, one day at a time. Thank you, Amen.

    Daily Miracle Blessing

God’s Light fills your days, leading you from the starting gate. Arise and feel the sunlight on your face. See the beauty in each moment. Count each one precious, and each hour an opportunity to do something amazing. Create miracles. Do what you came to do, one day at a time.

Day 5 The Sound of the Night Bugs

    Daily Miracle Message

Do you ever marvel at the sound of the sky? At the smell of the fog that lays over the air at night? The crickets singing their night song, the whir of the fan, the whistle of friends walking by? All whirs beside us and around us and beneath us, our minds catching little fragments of thought, precious moments of time…

The sound of the night bugs as I lay in bed, fills my heart with calm. What can go wrong in a world where little creatures smaller than my hand tuck me in at night with their song? The hum of my computer, the dim of the light, the reflection in the mirror, the dog breathing a sigh. All lays quiet in the midst of great activity. “Stillness is anything but still”, I recall a friend saying.

In the calm, and in the sounds, I find my gentle mind praying. My fingers move the keyboard, and my mouth mouths the words. My heart speaks but nobody hears. I am lit up though it is dark outside.

A time of rest is a time of healing. To understand the depths, one must listen and be quiet. Do not even think you know how to say it. It is a wordless song that plays once, and only you can hear it.

There is nothing more beautiful than God’s tiniest creatures as my friends. My mother thinks I’m crazy for not killing spiders. They spin their webs, shining in the sun, or hidden in corners. The symmetry and artwork is astonishing. Not a peep is ever heard.

The cat sleeps. The birds whistle. And the deer nestles in a bur-rough in the thick of the wood. The fish swims upside down. The flick of the tail like water rushes in the twinkling night as I breathe.

Nothing can keep me from saying my love of this sweet song playing, always underground. It takes an artist, a spiritual realist, a hypnotist, a musician, a player, to really feel what I am saying.

Nothing, nothing can stop this beautiful sound.

    Daily Miracle Prayer

Dear God, let me notice the beauty in everything, from the biggest cloud going by to the tiniest flee. Let me see me, as I do your majesty. In all things, let me hear your song, giving me Light, peace and calm. Amen.

    Daily Miracle Blessing

Sweet, sweet child, I hear your song. I hear your soul calling to me. And I am in love with you, your beauty and your Light, your wisdom and your majesty too, as a reflection of Me and all that I create.

Day 4 When Your Heart Breaks

    Daily Miracle Message

Sometimes it is difficult to move forward when you’re heart is broken beyond repair. We’ve all been through those heartbreaks, sudden changes, calamities, crises. They come, and we are disillusioned, confused, shattered. It doesn’t seem that anything will ever be the same.

    It won’t!

There is a reason why our heart breaks when we say good-bye to something or someone we once knew. Sometimes we have to let go to make way for the new. And sometimes something has to let go of us in order for us to do what we came to do. No matter what the reason, our heart still quakes or breaks, whether it was the right thing at the time or not. We still need to heal.

No one wants to hear that it will get better. But it will. My life has taken a 180 so many times, I could never believe that it would be as good as it is today, when I was going through those things at the time. If someone told me 20 years ago that I would raise a family while also leaving my corporate job behind, becoming a writer and an actress, and now a channel, healer and teacher who travels around the world – I would have thought they were off their rocker!

Instead, my life feels more rock solid, and I sometimes get to feel like a rockstar!

No matter how good it can be, though, no one, not me or anyone, gets through this life without suffering, without pain. Whether it is an injury, death of a loved one, breakup or divorce, big move, career change or sudden loss, life is designed to change us, to stretch us, to take us by surprise.

But God will never abandon us. We always have a choice. A new dawn. Keep looking. Keep searching. Keep loving. Keep moving on!

I realize now, human love comes and it goes. But real Love is a commitment to yourself, to God and your chosen path. No matter what happens, Love is always there to find me, even when I am alone. That kind of Love stays with you, and travels wherever you go.

New life, new love and opportunities will come again – bigger and better than before. Your heart will  continue to heal and grow. Until one day you will look back and realize how much you have learned, and how much Love you have come to know.

    Daily Miracle Prayer

Dear God, let me get over this heartache, this loss, this devastation. My heart is broken. I don’t know how to go on. Please heal my heart and show me your Love is true. That there is still hope for me to feel love again. Please help me to let go of this pain, and live again. Thank you, God. Amen.

    Daily Miracle Blessing

Let life break you open, and you will see the Light! We are always here to make things right. Take the burden off your shoulders. Give us your tears. Love is always there to find you, and Our Love is here to stay!

Day 3 Do What You Love

From a Daily Book of Miracles, by Krista M. Moore

    Daily Miracle Message

Are you doing what you love yet? I am doing what I love, thank God. But it’s taken me 25 years to figure that out and get to where I am now. And I’m still learning and growing. I never want that to stop! That is what it can feel like, when you do what you love. You don’t mind the slow-downs, hiccups, detours, dead ends. Eventually, you find your way round again, doing what you love. As long as you are pointed in the right direction, and keep putting gas in the tank, you will find more ways to explore each avenue of expression, each eager dovetail into phenomenal vistas that send your stomach swirling in loop-dee-loops. It is worth the price of admission.

What will it take to do what you love? You may have a family member or a partner to help. Or a side job, or a very slow transition time from your “normal” career. Or you may do what you love on weekends, or on very long vacations from which you do not wish to return, or you may have an exit plan. Whatever way you decide to take, keep pointing in the right direction.

And what if you do not know what you love? I don’t believe that’s possible. Or you wouldn’t be reading this book! There is some flickering flame of passion within you, some deep down desire. Listen to it. Explore it. Ask questions. Pretend that anything is possible. And then take the first step. Or the thousandth. Just keep going! And soon, you will be counting the days til your next work day, rather than your next vacation day. True work is play!

Doing what you love feeds your soul, elevates your consciousness, and often causes you to give love and service to others in a way that feels “effortless”. It could be something so natural to you you think it’s a sin to be paid for it. Well, it isn’t. Imagine your life differently. Doing what you love. Imagine that God wants you to be happy. Doing what you love. Imagine everything is possible. Doing what you love. And then, and only then, start living that way!

    Daily Miracle Prayer

Dear God, help me remember what I love to do, what brings me joy and happiness, fulfillment and abundance. I am willing to change my outlook. I am willing to make room in my life for more of what I love. Make me accountable. Send me helpers to push me toward my dreams. Make them come true. Thank you God. Amen.

    Daily Miracle Blessing

Make room for Me. And I will make room for your deepest dreams. Pray to Me, and I will counsel you on what to do. Do not falter. Do not despair. There is a rainbow waiting for you. Give me your dreams and I will cause great miracles to bring them to life!

    Day 1 Sorting The Laundry

From A Daily Book in Miracles, work in progress, Day 1, by Krista M. Moore

    Daily Miracle Message

You may not think sorting your laundry is very miraculous. It may appear that clothes being sorted is the most mundane activity known to man – or mankind – or humankind. But how you sort the laundry, and why you sort the laundry is more important than you might think.

The avoidance of pain drives – almost – all human beings. We will come up with a million things to do other than sort the laundry. Unless we like that sort of thing. And most of us do not. As a matter of fact, when we sort the laundry, we may even be tempted to think that our lives are not important. That we are as mundane as the things we are sorting. But that is not the case.

If you look at your life, it is like one giant pile of assorted things we put on: roles we play, ideas we have, decisions we make, children and projects we create, work we do, games we play. There are a million and one things on our todo list. And sorting the laundry is like the epitome of what it takes to face up to all of that.

What if we sorted the laundry like it was our best friend? The most delicate and precious solitary act, the most reverent act of kindness toward ourselves and the ones for whom we are carefully folding and putting away?

Without the clothes on our backs our lives would be pretty scary indeed. Think of Adam and Eve!

We can sort our laundry and name why we like each item, or why a certain item has seen better days and needs to be lovingly put away or given away.

What if we caressed our clothes like we caressed our lover, watching our hands as they fold, smelling the fresh fabric, unfurling the sheets with a last zip and flourish before folding each corner down over the other, trying to remember how our mother or grandmother learned to do such a thing? It is a marvel.

What if we let go of our desire to do anything else but be exactly where we are?

Now that would be a miracle!

    Daily Miracle Prayer

Dear God, give me the strength to be here, exactly where I am, starting this day with You at my side. Give me the clarity to accept the things I cannot change and the will to love the things I can. I will love it all anyway. Amen.

    Daily Miracle Blessing

Oh, that you would know how mighty and blessed you are. Exactly as you are. With all that you have and all that you do, you are a miraculous child of God. Bless you!

  • LIFE,  TRAVEL

    Coming Home

After my whirlwind trip to Peru, including bus trips, planes, trains, deserts, oceans and many-layered beds, I was anxious to return to my place of rest, my sanctuary called home.

When you travel, coming home is the best part, and the hardest.

When you leave home, you are excited by what you are going to see and do. For me, I was excited to visit Cusco, Peru and meet Carmen Munoz of Centro Nanay, a centre which helps young girls who have graduated from local orphanages to re-assimilate into life.

I was also anxious to visit the far-flung villages in the mountains, and bring good cheer and broken Spanish, with lots of hugs to the children, and pet lamas and alpacas by lakeside market stands.

Before I went, I longed for adventure, transformation, inner purification and love. We experienced much of that: the bright lights of the Cusco nightlife, foreign and familiar foods, too many visits to the cash machine under local guard, and just faint touches of churches and monasteries; warm beds in a cold winter room staying with a local family…

Divine lights in the moon temple during meditation and angelic sounds; remnants of a lost civilization with entrances and exits neatly marked for a burgeoning crowd. There was nowhere that I truly “belonged”, for I was in someone else’s territory. Nothing in my blood carried the signal of fellow free man or slave, those who carried the weight of the world in Inca days.

There was no time to truly immerse, as we were on a mission to see all the sites, while also finishing our Yoga Teacher training program.

After all, I was a Canadian white girl, let’s face it. I knew very little Spanish, and I had a good if not naive heart. I engaged, I planted seeds, I travelled and then I longed for return – for there truly is no place like home.

Coming home was about the heart beckoning back why I left in the first place. Did I get what I was looking for? Did I return with answers, with a true heart, a mission to continue what I started, and to remember what I just faintly became aware of?

    Yes.

And more. I remembered my self – my true self, not the one I hoped for. Not the one that climbs rocks and trees and tries to prove herself, and wants different for different’s sake. But the one who appreciates what she has, and who she is, and who loves just the same.

  • LIFE,  SPIRITUALITY

    Start the Day Positive

Thank you God, for giving me a new day!

If you can begin each day by saying, “Thank you, God”, you are not only protecting yourself against negativity, you are setting the tone for an amazing day ahead of you.

Spring into action each morning with a “Praise, God!” “Hallelujah!” or other such song in your heart. Even if you don’t feel like it, it is impossible to hold pessimism and cynicism in a heart that is glad, thankful and under the authority and direction of God.
